The Scarlot Harlot Saint Candle

Carol Leigh aka the Scarlot Harlot as imagined by Biggie Taters. Leigh coined the term 'sex work' in the late 70s/early 80s. “Sex work is work,” Leigh argued that some people engaged in prostitution by choice which was ahead of the times. She was a tireless advocate and activist for sex worker rights and was an original member of ACT UP, one of the earliest AIDs direct action groups. She was also an author, artist, and filmmaker. She died in 2022 at the age of 71. Her fun-filled, over-the-top, sex-positive, safer sex messages were way ahead of their time.

8" unscented candle. 100-hour burning. Keep your altar safe! Always trim your candle wicks to 1/4" before burning and never leave unattended.  Comes with the Saint's biography card and prayer card.
